Rhea Ripley is no longer the WWE Women’s World Champion. Mami was forced to relinquish her title due to injury this past Monday on RAW. The Judgment Day star reportedly suffered a shoulder injury during her backstage angle with Liv Morgan last week on the red brand.

Rhea’s world title run lasted for over 370 days. The reign began at WrestleMania 39 with a win over Charlotte Flair. The Nightmare successfully retained the championship against the likes of Natalya, Zelina Vega, Raquel Rodriguez, and Becky Lynch to name a few.

WWE will determine a new Women’s World Champion next week on RAW. One might assume Triple H would book a multi-woman match to crown the new champion. With that in mind, let’s take a look at superstars who could potentially fight for the Women’s World Championship.

Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega and Rhea Ripley fought for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Backlash 2023. The challenger fell short of dethroning the champion despite her best efforts. Zelina hasn’t been involved in a world title program since.

Assuming we get a cross-brand multi-women elimination match for the Women’s World Title on RAW next week, Zelina Vega enters the match-up from SmackDown. Her title aspirations are ruined by Elektra Lopez to continue the LWO vs. LWO feud on the blue brand.

Nia Jax

Nia Jax made her full-fledged return to WWE last year. The former RAW Women’s Champion destroyed both Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. Nia would spend the following months unsuccessfully challenging for the Women’s World Championship. She and Rhea headlined Elimination Chamber: Perth for the title as well.

Nia appeared in a backstage interview in the aftermath of Rhea Ripley’s announcement. The Irresistible Force promised to become the new champion. Nia could be a dominant heel Women’s World Champion in the Triple H regime. That being said, The Game may not want to put the title on another heel champion anytime soon.

Liv Morgan injured Rhea Ripley last week on WWE RAW

Liv Morgan’s revenge tour is only just beginning. The self-proclaimed Queen of Extreme cost Rhea Ripley the Women’s World Championship. Mami had (kayfabe) injured Liv on a previous episode of Monday Night RAW.

WWE possibly making Liv Morgan the new champion could make for an interesting storyline. Liv has played a babyface thus far but could potentially turn into heel following the real-life injury to Rhea Ripley.

Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair versus Rhea Ripley could’ve been a huge match for the Women’s World Championship if not for Mami’s unfortunate injury. Both women have great respect for each other. They can also be described as the arch-nemesis of WWE’s Four Horsewomen.

Bianca is currently on SmackDown, where she’s part of a tag team storyline with Jade Cargill. Triple H could book the EST for RAW next week to emerge as a potential challenger to the Women’s World Championship because of her stacked record as a former world champion.

Becky Lynch failed to win the world title at WWE WrestleMania 40

WWE has announced Becky Lynch for their upcoming tour of Europe. The Man was last seen in action at WrestleMania 40. She and Mami had opened night two with a great match for the Women’s World Championship.

Becky Lynch seems like a natural choice to challenge for the Women’s World Championship, given her most recent feud with the former champion. WrestleZone will have an update on the new Women’s World Champion as soon as it is made official.
