The Jungle Boy vs. Christian Cage match at AEW All Out went short because Cage is injured. He was seen sporting a brace on his arm for the bout.

At the show, Jungle Boy was jumped by Luchasaurus before the bout started as he choke slammed the babyface off the stage and then gave him to Cage, who hit his finisher to Jungle Boy for the quick pinfall.

On Wednesday’s Dynamite, Jungle Boy alluded to Cage getting his surgery done, the first time that Cage being injured was mentioned on AEW programming.

While speaking on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Cage is also expected to be on the shelf for 6-8 months to fix a torn triceps, a similar injury that CM Punk is dealing with.

“His injury may be the exact same injury as Punk so we’re talking again like an eight-month-ish, six-to-nine month of being out.”
