Brittnie Brooks is ready for the big fight feel.

Brittnie Brooks has a hefty task to tackle next month as she defends the DREAMWAVE Women’s Championship against “The Russian Dynamite” Masha Slamovich at the promotion’s first-ever all-women’s show, Uprising. Despite the inherent pressure of facing a name like Slamovich, Brooks embraces the challenge that lay ahead of her. Speaking with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Brooks sized up her upcoming opposition.

“It’s crazy because Masha, obviously she’s signed to impact. She’s done so much. She’s a killer. I just saw her Instagram post today of her all bloody. She’s crazy,” Brooks said. “I’m just so excited to share the ring with her. I know have a lot ahead of me, but also I know that this title is mine and I won it for a reason and I’m going to keep retaining it. I cannot lose the title on the first title defense. That would kill me, so I’m not going down without a fight.”

“It’s 100% the biggest challenge that I’ve ever had, but also, I said this when I wrestled Zayda [Steel], diamonds are made under pressure, and the pressure is on for this match. Any match, honestly, that I’ve had ever since then, I’ve just thought the pressure’s on so much. Masha is insane, and I’m so ready to just tear down the house with her.”

Analyzing The ‘Uprising’ Card

In further analyzing the Uprising card, Brittnie Brooks noted that she is especially thrilled to see some fellow representatives from the West Coast wrestling scene in action as well.

“I’m so excited for the West Coast girls that are going to be out there. Zamaya, she’s making her DREAMEWAVE debut, which I’m excited because she’s from Arizona too, and to see her doing so much, trying to break through, like she was just in a Mexico for [The] Crash, which is crazy. She’s done DEFY she’s done. I think she’s doing F1RST Wrestling. She’s doing so good. I do FSW in Vegas with her, and just to see her out in LaSalle is going to be crazy. So I’m really excited for her debut. J-Rod too, because J-Rod is another West Coast girl who comes to my Arizona promotion too. And yeah, I think [having] Emi Sakura, that’s crazy. Xia Brookside. It’s wild, The card is for sure stacked and it’s a must-watch even if you’re not in the town you have to check it out on IWTV.

DREAMWAVE Wrestling’s Uprising event will take place on Friday, December 8 in LaSalle, Illinois.
