Eddie Kingston is ready to fight.

Kingston spoke with WrestleZone ahead of his trios match at AEW Dynasty. There, he will team up with Adam Copeland and Mark Briscoe, the man who beat him for the ROH World Title. Kingston explained how the match came up, even though he was still set to defend his title against Briscoe ahead of Dynasty.

“It was real simple. I didn’t want… I saw Mark run out. And I go, ‘What is he doing? Doesn’t he know we have a match?’ I was like, ‘What are you doing?’ I didn’t want to see him get hurt so that’s why I went out. Yeah, Adam Copeland. He’s cool. He’s nice to me in the back. ‘Hey, what’s up?’ ‘Bro, hey what’s up?’ That’s it. I love ‘Chicken’, Mark Briscoe to death,” Kingston said. “‘So all right. You want to do six-man [Tag Team Match], you want to put me in a pay-per-view? Okay.’ That’s what it is dawg. [Helps me pay the bills].”

Good to go

Kingston says he wants to be the world champion at the end of the day, but he’s still going to have fun at Dynasty because he’ll be in a fight.

“Now, the little bit of the ego I have inside me, would I want to be in a singles match for the World Title? Would I want to be in Swerve’s position against Joe? Yeah. But guess what, I don’t book the show,” Kingston pointed out. “And this is what they want to do and we are going to do it. And I’m going to go in there I’m gonna chop Brody [King], I’m gonna kick Buddy [Matthews]. I’m gonna sling on Aleister Black and see what’s up.

“We are gonna have a good time. Win or lose I’m gonna have a good time cuz I got into a fight. That’s it. As long as there’s a nice cold ice bath in the hotel room and then a hot shower afterwards — and a couple of things to help me meditate — then I’m good. I’m good to go,” he said. “Life’s not that hard man. We make it hard. Trust me, I make it hard on myself a lot.”

The House of Black will face off with Kingston, Mark Briscoe and Adam Copeland at AEW Dynasty.
