Jerry Lawler is one of the veterans in the history of professional wrestling. He has been one of the most loyal legends of WWE.

Lawler is 73 years old. Despite his age, the wrestling legend has continued to compete in the ring. He last wrestled in a tag team match at the NEW Wrestling Under the Stars event back in September of last year. He teamed up with former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Erick Redbeard. The duo took on the then IWC World Heavyweight Champion, Elijah Dean and Zach Nystorm. Redbeard and Jerry Lawler managed to pick up the win.

Prior to the match, The King challenged Elijah Dean for the IWC World Heavyweight Championship. While both put on a good fight, the match ended up in a no contest, and thus the above-mentioned tag team match took place.

Earlier this year, in February, the WWE Hall of Famer suffered a stroke and was rushed to the emergency room. Lawler managed to thrive and quickly began to recover quickly. At the time, even his former colleague and close friend Jim Ross shared an update about his friend.

“I spoke very briefly with @JerryLawler⁩ tonight. He’s obviously weak but I could understand his affected speech. Jerry’s prognosis is positive but he needs all our thoughts and prayers. #LoveYaKing” Jim Ross tweeted.

Lawler made an appearance for the first time since the scary stroke on WWE TV. He showed up during the Raw episode that took place in his hometown of Memphis.

Since then, the wrestling legend showed off a new look recently on the sidelines of a football game. He showed up at the NCAA Division 1 football game involving the Memphis Tigers.

King also took part in the traditional ‘Releasing the Tigers’ ceremony.

Lawler also posted the following photo while rooting for his beloved Cleveland Browns.
