TNA Wrestling has re-signed Steve Maclin

Maclin said he re-signed with the company during the Rebellion pay-per-view on Saturday but TNA officially confirmed the news today.

“I have a lot of unfinished business here and plan to get back into the TNA World Championship picture,” Maclin said. “I’m very happy to call TNA home.”

Maclin announced at Rebellion that he negotiated a match on the pay-per-view as part of his new contract. Mike Santana then returned to the promotion and was revealed as his opponent. Santana then defeated Maclin with a discus lariat in 8 minutes and 10 seconds. Maclin didn't wrestle on TNA's TV tapings the following day.

He debuted for the promotion in June 2021 after having been released from WWE that February. He had been with WWE since 2014.

Maclin won the Impact World Championship at Rebellion 2023 last April and held it for two months until dropping it to Alex Shelley at Against All Odds.
