Wardlow almost suffered disaster before AEW Dynasty.

The former TNT Champion appeared alongside his Undisputed Kingdom teammates at the event. He was in the ring as Adam Cole seemingly returned from injury, rising from his wheelchair and walking into the ring following Roderick Strong beating Kyle O’Reilly.

However, Wardlow came close to joining Cole on the injury list. The AEW star revealed on social media that he suffered a car crash, and managed to escape “banged up” but alive.

Wardlow posted a photo of his car on Twitter, showing the body work around the left front tire completely destroyed. It looks as though he collided with a crash barrier, although he gave few details about the incident.

He also blamed “The Devil” for the accident, which could be a reference to the MJF and Adam Cole rivalry in AEW.

Wardlow wrote on Twitter:

“The devils been doing everything to stop me lately… still hasn’t learned he can’t. Banged up but I’m alive thank you to those that have reached out. Appreciate you all”

Wardlow Could Die Peacefully If He Retired Goldberg

Wardlow previously spoke about his desire to retire Goldberg in the ring. The former TNT Champion spoke with Whatculture’s Simon Miller last year, and revealed that he and Goldberg would love to lock horns in the ring.

“Goldberg did walk through just a minute ago and we exchanged words.Don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, but we both mutually agreed that if the opportunity comes, we would love to see who really is next.”

“If you could have like Batista, [Brock] Lesnar, Goldberg, I put those three in the same category of like dream monster matches. We just heard ‘Wardlow’ [from the fans]. We haven’t heard that chant since Goldberg. Man, it doesn’t get bigger than that. It does not get bigger than Wardlow versus Goldberg, it doesn’t.”

“If it comes down to Wardlow is the man to retire Goldberg, I can die peacefully,”
