Will Ospreay remains coy on his upcoming free agency

Will Ospreay will be one of the hottest free agents of 2024. The NJPW star has become a rising star in the wrestling world over the last two years and now looks set to cash in. When speaking to Cultaholic, Ospreay gave a coy response to his future plans.

"Not much. I'm open to all options," Ospreay said when asked about his upcoming free agency. "That's all I can say."

It's worth noting that while the interview aired on Aug. 28, one day after All In, Ospreay's comments came after his appearance on RevPro, which took place on Aug. 26.

Since competing in Wembley in front of 81,035 fans, Ospreay has taken to social media to thank AEW for putting him in such an incredible position.

AEW already has a big contract negotiation of their own in 2024 as the bid to keep their own rising star in MJF — who just headlined All In with a match against Adam Cole.

However, if Tony Khan can find the resources to keep MJF and acquire Ospreay, AEW's roster will take another step toward pulling level with that of WWE.

Earlier this year, AEW beat WWE to the signing of 'Switchblade' Jay White, in a move that has strengthened the roster depth and the variety of storylines since his arrival.

Ospreay, though, is on a different level. The Essex-born star is a natural on the mic, an elite storyteller, and can bring a hybrid style of wrestling that's as captivating as it is dangerous.

2023 has been the biggest year yet for AEW. Yet, how they begin 2024 will have a far stronger impact on the immediate future of the companies growth.
