When WWE held the Draft earlier this year, several stars were moved to different brands, with some main roster talent being sent to NXT while NXT stars went to the main roster.

One of those NXT stars was Zoey Stark, who the company had been high on based on her work in the developmental brand.

During her NXT run, she suffered a torn ACL & meniscus in a three-way tag team ladder match where she and IYO SKY were defending the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles in October 2021 but battled her way back.

Since being on the main roster, she has continued to make a good impression and has been paired with Trish Stratus throughout her feud with Becky Lynch. That pairing ended at Payback last Saturday when Stark turned on Stratus after her steel cage bout.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported, "Stark has been getting great reviews from talent she’s worked with on the main roster, in addition to several backstage for how she’s handled the call-up and the duties associated with it.”

Stark was praised at the time for resilience in returning from her knee injury and not missing a step. This would pay off with her getting looks on Main Event, and an appearance in the Women’s Royal Rumatch match earlier this year.
