The Renegades (4-6 in the regular season) emerged victorious in the South Division final, with a 26-11 triumph over the Houston Roughnecks on April 29. This victory secured their spot in the title game. Notably, the Renegades have become the first professional football team from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to contend for a league championship since the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl 30 victory back in the 1995 NFL season.

D.C. Defenders form

The Defenders secured a convincing victory over the Seattle Sea Dragons, emerging as the champions of the North Division with a score of 37-21 on April 30th. It has been a considerable amount of time since Washington has celebrated a professional football team winning a championship. The last time Washington’s NFL team claimed the title was during the 1991 NFL season when they emerged victorious in Super Bowl 26.
