The Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall IS going to happen and will be held in the UK, according to Bob Arum.

You will recall that Catterall was robbed of the best night of his life as he became the first man to challenge Taylor for his undisputed crown.

Catterall produced the performance of his life and was the clear winner, but the scorecards, in Taylor’s home country, stole the win from the Englishman.

In wake of the fight, Taylor insisted that he had no interest in rematching Catterall and was instead going to move up in weight and pursue other fights.

However, after intense criticism, he has now decided to accept the rematch and it looks as though the fight will come to fruition this year.

The ‘defeat’ will have followed Taylor around for the rest of his career, were he not to allow Catterall a second opportunity to challenge for the belts.

He deserves credit for facing up to the first man who had his number and granting him a second opportunity to put a ‘1’ on his record…
