Pac-12 China game between Washington, Tulane canceled

On Wednesday, the Pac-12 canceled its annual basketball game held in China due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Washington Huskies and Tulane Green Wave were scheduled to meet in China this November, but the Pac-12 announced in an official statement that contest won't occur even if basketball seasons get underway this fall:

“This decision was made in coordination with our 2020 China game participants University of Washington and Tulane University, along with our partners Alibaba and the Federation of University Sport of China. We look forward to announcing details around the 2021 China game and our important ongoing Pac-12 global initiative in due course.”

The previous day, analyst Jeff Goodman tweeted the Washington-Tulane matchup in China was rescheduled to 2021:

College basketball fixtures throughout the country remain in doubt as conferences and universities explore options for football schedules. Roughly two weeks ago, the Pac-12 announced a conference-only slate for football and other fall sports. Earlier this week, the league postponed football media day events "until further notice" due to the uncontrolled virus outbreak.
