Xavier freshman Edmond Sumner taken off on stretcher

The collision lead to a hard fall, which left Sumner motionless for several minutes.

Sumner reportedly was eventually able to move his extremities. He was transported to a local hospital, according to the television broadcast.

Sumner is averaging 11.7 point per game for a 12-0 Xavier team that is ranked sixth nationally, though the Musketeers were getting blown out by Villanova following Sumner's injury.

Reports from Xavier say Sumner is doing well.
