Alabama tuition is $26,326 in 2022 while Nick Saban makes $29,315 per day

There's no doubting Nick Saban's place among the greats in college football. He's a legend, an icon and arguably one of the greatest coaches of all time regardless of sport.

He deserves to be paid like the best because he is the best.

It is a bit jarring to see what that really means, though, especially as it relates to the cost of in-state tuition, room and board at Alabama for a "regular student."

Action Network's Darren Rovell had the comparison:

Let's not take this opportunity to deride a talented head coach who has earned every penny he's made. Instead, perhaps it's about time we talk about why the average student at Alabama will walk away with a diploma and nearly $100,000 in debt that the football coach could pay off in less than a week.
