The season has ended for the Florida State Seminoles, and as many players have decided to stay in Tallahassee, a vast majority of the roster have opted to take their careers to the next level and declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. As players prepare and hope to get their names called in the spring, all-star events, games, and combines will give future NFL prospects another chance to shine as they make their way into the league.

Senior defensive lineman Fabien Lovett, Sr. accepted his East-West Shrine Bowl invite on Monday following two productive years as a 'Nole. Lovett spent four seasons at Florida State after transferring from Mississippi State ahead of the 2020 season.

Lovett had 22 tackles, a sack, and three pass deflections in 2023. He was a critical anchoring point on one of the most disruptive defensive lines in the country, paired with first-round projection Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Joshua Farmer, Dennis Briggs, and Patrick Payton. Lovett amassed 93 tackles, 14.5 for a loss in 47 games during his five-year span at the college level after redshirting in 2018. He accounted for six sacks, a forced fumble, and four pass deflections overall.

Coming out of Vicksburg, MS, Lovett was a four-star recruit and was the No. 14 strong-side defensive end in the country and the No. 4 prospect in the state of Mississippi, according to 247Sports.

The 6-foot-4, 323-pound lineman is also set to participate in the 2024 Hula Bowl. He joins teammates defensive back Renardo Green, defensive back Jarrian Jones, and quarterback Jordan Travis in the East-West Game.

2024 will mark the 99th edition of the East-West Shrine Bowl. The game will take place at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, on February 1 and will be broadcast on the NFL Network.
