King of Props: Cowboy in space

Two ranked rivals meet in Waco on Saturday afternoon as No. 16 Baylor hosts No. 9 Oklahoma State. When these teams faced off in last year’s Big 12 Championship Game, the Cowboys held hopes of making the College Football Playoff, but it was the Bears who emerged victorious. With Oklahoma State looking to stay unbeaten and exact some revenge, we’re targeting a featured player for our top prop selection:

The bet: Over 12½ receiving yards for Oklahoma State running back Dominic Richardson (DraftKings)

Entrenched as an every-down back, Richardson should be on the field for the majority of the offensive snaps. But he may find ground yardage hard to come by against a Baylor defense that’s ranked ninth in rushing yards allowed, limiting opponents to 2.6 yards per carry.

To get the most out of him, the Pokes will need to deploy Richardson as a receiver on occasion. Coach Mike Gundy and offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn are likely to dial up a screen pass or two to get him in space, and he’ll also be a check-down option for quarterback Spencer Sanders.

Richardson has a reception for 20+ yards in each of his last two games, finishing with receiving totals of 39 and 44 yards on seven catches. Something similar is expected here – and it won’t be surprising if he delivers a winner on a single play.
