Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. has LeBron James' attention

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has turned plenty of heads this season, but he's also caught the attention of Los Angeles Lakers superstar and hometown hero LeBron James.

James could hardly contain his excitement after a long Harrison touchdown during Ohio State's 63-10 blowout win over Western Kentucky, taking to social media to show some love.

James appears to be a firm passenger on the Harrison bandwagon, calling the Buckeye standout "H.I.M." following a two-touchdown performance against Youngstown State. It's hard to blame James because, after his breakout game a week ago, Harrison outdid even himself on Saturday.

After reaching 22 mph on a career-long 71-yard touchdown against Youngstown State, the speedy Harrison topped that, looking faster, somehow, on a 75-yard score. Blazing past Western Kentucky safety Rome Weber, Harrison was wide-open for quarterback Kyle McCord, who threw a dart on the money.

Only a week removed from a seven-catch, 160-yard, two-touchdown game, Harrison walked off the field Saturday with five catches for 126 yards and a score.

James, one of the most accomplished athletes ever, knows talent when he sees it, and NFL Draft gurus agree. In the latest mock draft from ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., Harrison ranks as the second-best prospect behind only USC quarterback Caleb Williams.

The son of Hall of Famer and Indianapolis Colts legend Marvin Harrison, he has big shoes to fill at the next level. However, at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Harrison is already bigger and faster than his father, and with his size, speed and skill level, he has all the tools to be better than him, too.

Through three games, Harrison is averaging an astounding 19.8 yards per catch (nine catches). He'll look to continue that trend next Saturday when Ohio State faces its first real test on the road against 4-0 Notre Dame.
