It may have taken 36 years, but a follow-up to the 1988 cult classic Beetlejuice is on the way.

Starring Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Michael Keaton, Annie McEnroe, Jeffrey Jones, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara, Beetlejuice follows the spirits of a deceased couple who decide to hire a malicious spirit to help drive out a family that has moved into their home.

Tim Burton is returning to direct the sequel, which will star Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci alongside original cast members Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara and Michael Keaton.

Further details about the sequel are under wraps, but Warner Bros. has unveiled the official title and release date.

The cleverly crafted poster reveals that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
