Hannah Waddingham cleverly replies to Seth Rogen mispronouncing her name at Emmys

Hannah Waddingham clarified that she wasn't responsible "for anything that pulls out of my face in the next 30 seconds" while accepting her Primetime Emmy on Sunday night, but she jokingly held Seth Rogen accountable for what came out of his mouth 30 seconds earlier.

Rogen announced the winner of the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category as "Hannah Waddington" rather than Hannah Waddingham:

"I didn't hear that," the 47-year-old Ted Lasso actress told reporters afterward, per Entertainment Weekly. "It's brand new information. ... He's dead. Oh man. I'll have to call him Seth Ragin."

Rogen, seemingly the most self-deprecating person alive, would probably appreciate that.

Waddingham's was one of four Emmys won by Ted Lasso, which earned a record-breaking 20 nominations . Best Comedy, Best Actor in a Comedy Series (Jason Sudeikis) and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Brett Goldstein) were their other victorious categories.

Waddingham, who shines as AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton on the smash Apple TV Plus series, stopped by  Jimmy Kimmel Live  last week and swore she had not prepared a speech nor expected to win.

"I just think there's seven glorious women all together, and I just think whoever's name they call out, I'm gonna be like, 'Whoop, whoop, whoop!' because they're all effing brilliant," the former Game of Thrones and West End Theatre star said. "It's so true because I'll tell you what, as well. I don't shy away from it: when you're in your mid-40s, and this suddenly comes along into your life, I've had a lot of time to wait for it. And I'm just genuinely really proud of the nomination."

Waddingham edged out her Ted Lasso  co-star Juno Temple, whom she gushed over in her acceptance speech, as well as Aidy Bryant ( Saturday Night Live), Hannah Einbinder (Hacks), Kate McKinnon (SNL), Rosie Perez (The Flight Attendant) and Cecily Strong (SNL).
