Final season of Prime Video's 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' adds Isabella Briggs, Kristen Connolly, and more to cast

Prime Video has just announced some of the additional cast set to appear in the upcoming season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, including Isabella Briggs and Kristen Connolly as series regulars alongside Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, Jackie Chung, and Rachel Blanchard.

It’s the end of her junior year of college, and Belly’s looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life. Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same…

Sofia Bryant, Lily Donoghue, Zoé de Grand’Maison, Emma Ishta, and Tanner Zagarino join as recurring cast members.

Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka serve as showrunners and executive producers alongside Karen Rosenfelt, as well as Paul Lee, Hope Hartman, and Mads Hansen for wiip. The show is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.

Based on the best-selling book trilogy from Jenny Han, The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama centered around a love triangle involving one girl and two brothers. It explores the complex bonds between mothers and their children, the strength of lasting female friendships, and the transformative journey of growing up. At its heart, it's a coming-of-age tale about first love, first heartbreak, and the unforgettable magic of one perfect summer.

Han recently warned that "there are definitely changes," telling Entertainment Weekly, "There are surprises. And there are things that aren't exactly like the books."

She continued to explain, "A lot of people, literally, are just watching the show and they're seeing it for the first time. But you also want to serve the people who have been fans for 15 years, who are excited about certain things. But you can't make everyone happy."

The third and final season premieres on Wednesday, July 16, and will be a total of 11 episodes.
