Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has asked for two transfers in the upcoming January transfer window.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach wants a new central defender and a defensive midfielder, looking to find more balance in his squad.

Lazio’s transfer market moves in January will once again depend on the liquidity ratio, however, which will have to be examined by Covisoc.

There will also be no purchases without some sales first, with Denis Vavro, Riza Durmisi and Jordan Lukaku all being deadweight in the Biancocelesti squad.

In January Serbian defender Dimitrije Kamenovic will be registered, but the young defender did not convince coach Sarri in the summer preparations, and so will have to work hard to carve out a place in the squad.

The suspension to Francesco Acerbi has highlighted the need for a new central defender, as Sarri will be forced to deploy either Patric or veteran Stefan Radu alongside Luiz Felipe against Inter.
