The PDC Player’s Championship Darts final took place last night as Michael Van Gerwen took on Rob Cross for the title.

The match was poised at 7-6 to MVG, as Cross looked certain to checkout for 41 to make it 7-7, but Van Gerwen stepped up to deliver the throws of the evening, checking out for 170 to send the crowd wild.

Two triple 20s bang on the money followed by a bullseye did the job for the Dutchman, as he brought out his trademark fist pump celebration, prompting Cross to wonder what more he had to do to get one over his opponent.

From there, it was one-way traffic as Van Gerwen took control, winning by 11 legs to 6 to win his seventh Player’s Championship in ten years.
