In a surprising turn of events originating from the realm of social media, Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX, got into a battle of words with Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram. No one saw the exchange coming, but now it seems the potential cage fight is all anyone wants to talk about.

Musk, known for his provocative presence on Twitter, boldly announced his willingness to participate in a “cage fight” with Zuckerberg. Seizing the opportunity, Zuckerberg promptly responded by sharing a screenshot of Musk’s tweet, accompanied by the challenge “send me location.” That led to buzz that something might be set up to happen in the UFC, and UFC President Dana White is in love with the idea, saying both guys are “dead serious about this.”

The potential magnitude of this unusual interaction has attracted considerable attention, with many speculating about the prospects of an actual fight. White believes it would shatter every pay-per-view fight record in history and could make hundreds of millions of dollars for charity. Noting that he talked to both guys, each confirmed this was something they’d be open to.

While the UFC seems a natural fit for hosting the event should it come to fruition, some have also considered the potential involvement of WWE, given its ownership under Endeavor alongside the UFC.

Adding a touch of humor to the situation, Musk introduced his signature move, playfully named “The Walrus,” which apparently involves lying on top of his opponent and doing nothing. To amplify the lightheartedness, he shared videos featuring walruses, indicating that his challenge to Zuckerberg may not be entirely serious. However, the reality remains that Musk would face an uphill battle if the fight were genuine. Zuckerberg, 39, has actively trained in mixed martial arts (MMA) and achieved success in jiu-jitsu tournaments. Thus, the odds would not be in favor of Twitter’s owner. This raises the possibility that the focus could be more on media attention, along with the financial gains derived from witnessing a metaphorical clash—a scenario that aligns with WWE’s expertise.

The exchange between these two tech giants quickly went viral, captivating social media users who passionately debate the hypothetical outcome of the fight. Memes and fabricated posters advertising the contest have flooded various online platforms, further fueling the excitement surrounding the prospect.

As the buzz continues to intensify, it will be intriguing to see if talk of this fight actually happening dies down, or if more parties get involved to try and make it happen.
