The New Orleans Saints must address their wide receiver depth in the 2024 NFL Draft. That may not come in the first round, but day two would be a great time to attack that need for New Orleans if the board falls their way.
Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley is a projected day two pick, and he fits what New Orleans needs.
Corley has a top 30 visit scheduled with the Saints soon.
Corley is a confident player, and he knows that he's a tackle-breaking machine. According to Field Yates, he broke/evaded the second-most tackles in college football over the past three years.
Corley is a smooth mover, and the Saints have a couple of those in Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed at WR. That being said, Corley plays a more physical game abasing defenders. He's powerful on film and proved that against all of WKU's competition.

At 5'11, you may question his size. Corley plays bigger than his height and weighs in at 215 pounds. That is a thick frame for his stature, and the Saints like that in their skill position players... Additionally, the former WKU wideout has a unique ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. With strong hands, he can secure tough catches then make at least one defender miss quite often. Corley shows more explosiveness on film than many prospects with better measurables.

Corley is a bowling ball from the perimeter which creates problems for defenses as they aren’t prepared for his level of physicality and dense frame. When given manufactured touches you can see how Corley is a Swiss Army knife that can align in the slot or out of the backfield and make plays with the ball in his hands. Teams will be concerned about how long he can play the way he wants before getting injured, along with his rawness as a true WR. New Orleans should target Corley sometime on day two of the draft. It's clear that his now on their radar.
As of now, the Saints only have the 45th overall pick on day two of this year's draft.
