Novak Djokovic ‘will play until the end of the season,’ according to respected journalist Sasa Ozmo.

Djokovic has had a monumental year, winning the first three majors of the season and losing in the final of the US Open last month.

That defeat in New York reduced Djokovic to tears as the immense pressures of chasing a calendar Grand Slam finally caught up with him, and he has taken a step back from the ATP Tour for a hard-earned rest.

Some analysts have speculated that he could opt to skip the rest of the season, but Ozmo has stated that isn’t the case.

His exact schedule ‘hasn’t yet been decided’ but the Paris Masters and ATP Finals in Turin would appear to be obvious targets.

A good performance in either would secure Djokovic another record, with him taking a seventh end-of-year world number one.

Another potential tournament for Djokovic is the Davis Cup, with him always proud to represent Serbia.

However, with the ATP Cup to follow in Australia in January, he may decide that is enough in terms of his national team commitments.
