Reds starting pitcher Andrew Abbott is off to a historic start this season.

Abbott has posted a 1.51 ERA in his first nine starts of the season, which is the fifth-lowest in Reds' history dating back to 1920.

Only Dutch Ruether (1.23), Johnny Cueto (1.25, Edison Volquez (1.33) and Bucky Walters (1.36) posted a lower ERA in their first nine starts.

Matt Wilkes had the stat on X. Abbott pitched seven scoreless innings in Cincinnati's 6-2 win in Chicago on Friday.
