Los Angeles Angels baseball is quickly approaching, with the first game coming this Saturday. Although the thrill and excitement aren't quite to par with Opening Day, it's still exciting to see the red and white back on the diamond again.

The Halos Cactus League will kick off against the Dodgers. The Angels will send out their 2022 sixth-round draft pick, right-hander Victor Mederos, to make the start.

OC Register's Jeff Flecther shared via X.

According to Flecther, no lineup is set yet. Nonetheless, Angels manager Ron Washington has found his guy to get the Cactus League rolling.

Mederos debuted at home on June 30th, 2023, against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Overall, he's appeared in three games. In those three games, Mederos holds a 9.00 ERA, three strikeouts and a 2.67 WHIP in three innings.

Mederos hasn't had the pretties of a start to his career, but hopefully, that all changes with a nice spring outing.

The 22-year-old has shown the coaching staff he's ready. We'll be looking forward to his outing against their freeway rivals.
