MLB investigators reportedly looking into range of inquiries in Trevor Bauer case

With just five days remaining in Trevor Bauer's administrative leave, Major League Baseball investigators are reportedly pursuing a range of inquires, sources told ESPN's Buster Olney.

Investigators intend to speak with the woman who made sexual assault allegations against the Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher. They have talked with her lawyer but would like to speak to her directly, Olney says.

The woman alleges Bauer choked her until she lost consciousness on multiple occasions, punched her in several areas and left her with injuries that required hospitalization following two sexual encounters earlier this year.

Bauer has denied the allegations, with his attorney calling her claims "baseless" and "defamatory."

According to Olney, investigators are looking into Bauer's history and the question of whether there have been other incidents. MLB officials want to speak with Bauer directly, but it's unclear if that'll happen any time soon, Olney adds.

After signing with the Dodgers in February, Bauer said he was "committed" to being a better person in all aspects of life. Those comments came after fans brought up his harassment of a college student and citing of conspiracy theories

Bauer is currently under investigation by the Pasadena Police Department, which recently said the investigation into the claims against him is "bigger than we thought."

The 30-year-old's administrative leave ends Friday, but he could be placed on an indefinite leave of absence, considering he's under investigation by police.
