Owen Caissie was born in Burlington, Canada, on July 8, 2002. He played high school baseball at Notre Dame High School in Burlington, ON. He was the second-ranked outfielder and the third overall player in Ontario in 2020. He played on Canada’s Junior National Team as well. Caissie was the 40th-ranked outfielder nationally and the 236 th overall player. He committed to play college baseball at the University of Michigan.

Caissie played for High-A South Bend for 105 games. He slashed .254/.349/.402 with a .751 OPS; he had 21 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, 58 RBI, 57 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, and 50 walks. He also played in the Arizona Fall League for Mesa playing in 16 games he slashed .220/.270/.356 with a .626 OPS; he had five doubles, one home run, nine RBI, nine runs scored, three stolen bases, and four walks.
