Kevin Durant will start his second active season with the Brooklyn Nets, trying to improve what they did last season and make it to the NBA Finals. KD tried everything to get past the eventual champions Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 playoff, falling short in seven games against Giannis Antetokounmpo and co.

Now the 2x NBA champion will try to add a third title to his resumé, trying to bolster his case as one of the greatest players ever to do it. This is precisely what one NBA analyst said about KD when making a case for him as the No. 1 player in the league this season.

Durant was selected as the best player in the league by ESPN, surpassing Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James. André Snellings shared his thoughts on KD's expectations for the upcoming term, saying he's looking at the bigger picture, trying to become one of the best players of all time.

"Durant is competing for not just the top spot in today's NBA, but to have his name spoken in the same breath as the best to have ever done it."

Several players believe that KD's unique skill set makes him the greatest player of all time. However, when we talk about accolades, legends like Michael Jordan and LeBron James are always part of the GOAT debate.

KD is more than capable of taking this team to the promised land a couple of times, adding more titles to his career. At the start of the month, Eddie Bitar wrote that winning two championships and Finals MVPs in Brooklyn would put Durant ahead of Shaquille O'Neal and Wilt Chamberlain in the unofficial all-time ranking

The former Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors superstar is still hungry to win, and next season will present a big opportunity for him. If Kyrie Irving and James Harden stay healthy, every NBA fan expects them to make it to the Finals

That will be a big chance for Durant to get closer to the likes of Jordan, LeBron, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and more.
