The hype surrounding the first signature sneaker of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has officially gotten out of control - and we are here for it. Adidas continues to put out new colorways that are better than the last.

We have seen the 2x NBA All-Star debut several fire colorways, which thankfully end up enjoying general release treatment. Edwards has played in the adidas AE 1 'Velocity Blue' colorway multiple times, and now fans will get a shot at buying the model.

Below is a detailed look at Edwards wearing the adidas AE 1 'Velocity Blue' colorway on the court and details on how to buy the sneakers before they inevitably end up selling out.

adidas AE 1 'Velocity Blue'

The adidas AE 1 'Velocity Blue' colorway will be released on Friday, March 8. Online shoppers can purchase the sneakers for $120 in adult sizes on the adidas website while supplies last.

The colorway draws inspiration from Edwards' favorite color and the brightest, most intense blue adidas has as a brand. Meanwhile, the green feature is a nod to the early Timberwolves era.

As old-school NBA fans and sneakerheads, we are hyped about the newest colorway of Edwards' sneakers. One look at them reminds fans of Kevin Garnett, Stephon Marbury, and Wally Szczerbiak.

Soon, if not already, Edwards will take his place among other Timberwolves' greats. He already has the best sneaker catalog of any player from the organization. Follow FanNationKicks.com for all your sneaker news.
