Max Verstappen on Sunday overtook Oscar Piastri on the opening lap and managed two safety cars to capture his fourth consecutive Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Italy.
Finishing behind Verstappen were Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Despite starting from the pole, Piastri dropped to third due to a failed undercutting strategy and unlucky timing of a safety car.

Salvaging the weekend was Ferrari, which had both drivers fail to make it out of Q2, but managed a fourth and sixth place finish by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc due to their incredible straight-line speed.
Also having an impressive comeback was Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda, who started from the pit lane after crashing out of Q1, but was able to finish 10th and within the points.
With the first of three consecutive European races in the books, Piastri still holds a 13-point lead over Norris in the driver’s championship, with Verstappen still in contention, trailing by 22 points.
