A former member of the Portland Trail Blazers faces a felony charge in connection with the disappearance of a woman in Las Vegas and is due in court Tuesday.

Chance Comanche was arrested Friday by authorities in Sacramento County, Calif., where he played for the Stockton Kings of the G League. The team -- an affiliate of the Sacramento Kings -- released him following his arrest.

Sacramento County Jail records indicate Comanche, 27, was being held without bail and due in court Tuesday afternoon. The charge was not specified.

Las Vegas station KLAS-TV reported, however, that a warrant for first-degree kidnapping was issued in Las Vegas Justice Court Friday morning.

Comanche is suspected in the disappearance of 23-year-old Marayna Rodgers, who last was seen in the Las Vegas area on Dec. 6. The Stockton Kings played the G League Ignite in nearby Henderson, Nev., the night before. Rodgers, a medical assistant, was visiting the area from Washington state with friends.

He is the second person implicated in the case, according to KLAS.

Sakari Harnden, 19, was arrested on a first-degree kidnapping charge in Clark County, Nev., and detained on $500,000 bail, per jail records.

The TV station said the criminal complaint stated that Harnden "held or detained Rodgers against her will and without her consent for the purpose of killing her and/or inflicting bodily harm."

Comanche played college basketball at Arizona and entered the 2017 NBA Draft and was undrafted. He has appeared in one NBA game, making his debut with the Trail Blazers on April 9, 2023. He scored seven points in 21 minutes.

Comanche, a 6-foot-10 center, played in 13 games for Stockton this season, averaging 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds.
