The Golden State Warriors will open up their home slate at Chase Center in San Francisco against the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday evening.

Coming off an upset win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Southern California in their season opener, excitement is high for this iteration of the Warriors. They’ll also have a full slate of fans in attendance for the first time since early in the 2020 calendar year.

The backdrop here are these absolutely awesome throwback uniforms the Golden State Warriors are debuting dating back to their days in Philadelphia.

These specific uniforms are from the 1961-1962 season in Philly when the likes of Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain, Paul Arizin and Al Attles were starring for the Warriors. It was their final season back east before relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area for the 1962-63 campaign.

The Warriors have done their best to stay true to their past since relocating from Oakland to San Francisco during the 2019-20 season. That will include paying homage to their Oakland roots with a mid-court logo at the Chase Center Thursday evening.

As for these specific Golden State Warriors uniforms, they are similar to similar to the New York Knicks' with the exception of the yellow boundary.

Either way, these are pretty darn awesome.
