AND1, the well-known brand for footwear and apparel, will debut "The Chosen One" mini-documentary about Ben Wallace during the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend. The event will occur at Living Room Theater in Indianapolis for a 6:30 PM ET exclusive screening on Saturday, Feb. 17. Following the premiere, Wallace will have a fireside chat with Ros Gold-Onwude, NBA Analyst & Host.

Ben Wallace won the NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons in 2004, and it'll be 20 years since the victory. AND1 acknowledges the perfect time to celebrate the only undrafted Hall of Famer who wore their shoes during his storied career.

The mini-documentary produced by AND1 Entertainment highlights Wallace's inspiring journey from his experience at Virginia Union to his shot at the league, as told by the HBCU and NBA legend.

While Wallace was known for sporting the AND1 Chosen One sneakers on the court, Ben also embodies AND1's values: raw talent, dedication, and an unmatched work ethic. This powerful combination led the undrafted player to beat the odds by becoming an NBA champion and four-time Defensive Player of the Year. "AND1 Entertainment is excited to showcase this dynamic mini-documentary on the incredible and inspiring hoops legend that is Ben Wallace. He has left a large footprint on the game, and we're proud to help tell his story," said Dexter Gordon, Brand Director at AND1.

The celebration comes on the heels of AND1's milestone 30th Anniversary last year. AND1 is excited to continue its legacy of honoring the people and communities that built the brand, fostering the love of the game, and ushering in new, raw talent.

This year, AND1 will continue celebrating community, hard work, and freedom of expression with new shoe releases, their iconic Open Run Tour, Paint the Park initiatives, and support of the HBCU high school basketball showcase. Upcoming events will include legendary AND1 mixtape OGs and a newly signed streetballer featured in the 2023 Open Run Tour, Leaky Roof.

Ben Wallace's NBA statistics:

  • Points: 6,254 (5.7 points per game)
  • Rebounds: 10,482 (9.6 rebounds per game)
  • Blocks: 2,137 (2.0 blocks per game)

Wallace won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award four times, played nine seasons with the Pistons, won a championship in 2004, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021.  His jersey number 3 was retired by the Pistons in 2016.
