Snoop Dogg appeared recently on the Stephen A. Smith’s Show, where he criticized the NBA’s handling of Jamal Murray’s on-court actions. Murray had thrown a heat pack and towel onto the court, and then got slapped with a $100,000 fine, which Snoop felt was insufficient.
Snoop pointed out the inconsistencies in the league’s disciplinary actions and cited Patrick Beverley’s four-game suspension where he threw a ball at a fan as well as the NBA’s bad boy Draymond Green. He questioned why Jamal Murray wasn’t suspended, given the potential consequences of his behavior.

Furthermore, he also criticized the league for not taking a decisive stance on incidents involving players and coaches. He referenced Nuggets coach Michael Malone’s heated argument with referees, suggesting he should have faced consequences.
Snoop’s comments emphasized the need for consistent and impartial disciplinary actions in the NBA, regardless of a player’s status or circumstances. He felt Murray’s behavior warranted a more stringent punishment, a suspension, and the fine sent the wrong message.
