LeBron James has been holding private workouts with teammates?

As the NBA inches closer to a possible return, teams are beginning to figure out how to make sure they are ready to play if and when the time comes. The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that players from both Los Angeles basketball teams have already been getting together to practice.

Charania was asked about how teams are preparing for the season to resume, and he spoke about the Lakers and Clippers.

"It's been different for every team," Charania said. "For example, in LA, LeBron James has held private workouts with one to two teammates at a time at a closed-off, private location."

Charania says the workouts have been in line with social distancing regulations to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

"All the safety measures have been taken, I'm told, in these private workouts," Charania said. "Everyone involved has been tested. Everyone involved has practiced social distancing. Everyone involved has taken the necessary steps to make sure that they're following all the guidelines."

According to Charania, the Lakers aren't the only team in L.A. organizing workouts.

"The Clippers, I'm told, have had some players do the same, in terms of working out and getting together on the court," Charania said. "This is a way for both teams to gain chemistry."

Both the Lakers and Clippers have reason to be ready when the season resumes, as they are two of the top teams in the league. While LeBron hopes to win his first title with the Lakers, the Clippers are looking for to their first title in franchise history.
