NBA best bets: Wiesguy's two picks and a prop for 3/29

After a losing night to start the week, it was good to get back on track last night. These next couple of weeks are going to be tricky handicaps in the NBA as teams get eliminated from the races and rest players, and/or contenders, do the same.

Last night, Memphis won but just came up a little short on the spread, while Toronto won with ease. In that same Memphis game, Franz Wagner scored more than his points and assists total so we did not have to sweat it too much.

Tonight we have 10 NBA games to choose from. That should be more than enough to add another day of winners.

NBA Sides:  50-41-1

NBA Props: 26-20

Winning Days: 29 (of 48)

In Review: Tuesday, March 28

Toronto Raptors -5.5 (win)
Toronto got an important home win last night. Miami was shorthanded and they took advantage.

Memphis Grizzlies -6.5 (loss)
Memphis won again without Ja Morant, but the game was closer than I expected.

Franz Wagner Over 20.5 Points & Assists (win)
Wagner was the leading scorer for Orlando with 25 points. Easy cover there and someone to watch.

NBA Picks for Wednesday, March 29

New York Knicks -4 (vs Miami Heat)
Miami lost last night at Toronto and did not look particularly good in doing so. Jimmy Butler did not play, but even if he is in the lineup tonight I still like the Knicks. I don't know if they are ahead of schedule in terms of contending this season, but they play with some toughness this season and it will be shown in demonstrating some killer instinct against a struggling Miami team. If they get up early the Heat may shut it down.

Utah Jazz -4 (at San Antonio Spurs)
If the injury reports are accurate, no Lauri Markkanen for the Jazz tonight, but also no Keldon Johnson or Devin Vassell either. That is definitely an advantage for the Jazz, who have been the much better team all season long. Utah is not in great form right now but San Antonio has been terrible all season long. I do not see them rising up to push the Jazz this evening. This is Utah's last good chance for a win this year. They take it.

NBA Prop

Kevin Durant Over 22.5 Points
There is some injury risk here because it is Durant but there is no reason to get him on the court to be a decoy, right. As long as he plays 25 minutes or so he can average a point a minute. Hopefully, the game is close too and we can squeeze out a little more. Minnesota is playing well but they are going to struggle to guard him, just like everybody else.
