The Washington Wizards are one of the worst teams in basketball right now, and NBA champion Nick Young made a strange comparison when asked about the Wizards in an interview with Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson.

"Playing in Washington could be a curse at the same time, but it could be good," Young told Robinson. "I love the city, but just the feel for the organization I think they have that kind of Clippers kind of vibe, you know? Like, I don’t know what’s going on with them."

Young played for both the Clippers and Wizards, so he has experience with both organizations; however, this is a strange comment given LA's trajectory since Steve Ballmer took over. While the Clippers were one of the worst franchises in basketball prior to Ballmer's arrival, they have been one of the most successful teams from a win/loss standpoint since he replaced Donald Sterling.

The Clippers have been nowhere near Washington's current level of incompetence since before Blake Griffin was drafted. Griffin's rookie season was the last time the Clippers finished below .500, and they still won 32 games that season. As things stand currently, the Wizards are on pace to win 12 games.

There are a lot of ways to describe how bad the Wizards are this season, but comparing their vibe to the Clippers does not make much sense.
