NBA veteran Caron Butler is addicted to Mountain Dew

14 year NBA veteran Caron Butler has had to deal with his fair share of challenges in life. Butler grew up in a rough neighborhood, spent time in jail as minor, and had to work his tail off to become an NBA All-Star.

But now Caron Butler is dealing with a new challenge: his severe addiction to Mountain Dew.

"I'm a Mountain Dew addict," Butler has said in reference to promoting his new autobiography. "There’s a lot of sugar in Mountain Dew, but it’s so good."

Apparently Butler's affinity for the soft drink is nothing new to his NBA brethren. Butler describes his time with the Los Angeles Lakers as troublesome, as he had to hide his habit from teammate Kobe Bryant. Bryant is notorious for paying attention to his teammates diets, and shaming them for poor health habits.

Now entering his first season with the Sacramento Kings, hopefully Butler can find a way ween himself onto a diet version of the soft drink.
