The New York Knicks have a golden opportunity in their hands entering Thursday’s Game 3 matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Knicks are currently up 2-0 and a victory in Game 3 will virtually guarantee their passage into the next round.

The Sixers, however, will do everything to protect their home court as they remain confident in turning this series around. In fact, Philly superstar Joel Embiid is adamant that it’s his team that will advance to the East Semi-Finals.

Joel Embiid’s Series Guarantee

Despite being left completely frustrated by the way the referees officiated Game 2, Embiid still came out with a bold guarantee for this first-round series. According to the reigning NBA MVP, he is confident that the Sixers will be able to get themselves out of this deep hole to eventually win the series:

“We should be 2-0, so yeah, we’re good. We’re gonna win this series, we’re gonna win this,” Embiid said. “We know what we gotta fix. We did a better job today, so we’re gonna fix it. But we’re the better team. We’re gonna keep fighting.”

You just know that the Knicks have other plans.

New York Knicks News: Josh Hart Reacts to Joel Embiid’s Bold Claim

Speaking to reporters ahead of Thursday’s crucial Game 3 matchup, Knicks star Josh Hart shared his brutally honest thoughts on Embiid’s unequivocal promise. Unsurprisingly, Hart remains extremely confident in his team’s chances of progressing to the next round:

“I don’t care. They’re not. We’re up 2-0,” Hart said. “When the NBA starts basing the series on what we think, then I would care a little bit more. We’re up 2-0, right now we’re just focused on trying to get our third one.”

It goes without saying that the result of Game 3 will have a monumental impact on what has been a compelling series thus far.
