Raptors avoid first-round sweep with Game 4 win vs. 76ers

The Toronto Raptors avoided a first-round sweep and forced a Game 5 against the Philadelphia 76ers with a 110-102 win Saturday afternoon.

Pascal Siakam led the Raptors with 34 points, five assists, and eight rebounds in the victory. Gary Trent Jr. added another 24 points with three three-pointers. The newly crowned NBA Rookie of the Year, Scottie Barnes, returned from injury to record six points and 11 rebounds in 26 minutes on the floor.

76ers star center Joel Embiid struggled for much of the contest in his first game since suffering a thumb injury. While he still managed to score 21 points and pull down eight rebounds, Embiid missed his first five shots of the game and finished with five turnovers and four fouls.

Embiid is reportedly set to undergo an MRI when the team returns to Philadelphia.

The 76ers never led in the second half and the Raptors led by as many as 14 in the final minutes.

Toronto's win means the series will return to Philadelphia for Game 5, which is set for Monday at 5 p.m. ET. The 76ers need one more win to advance to the next series against either the Miami Heat or Atlanta Hawks.
