It was an incredible season for the Detroit Pistons as they were able to go from the worst team in the NBA to being a title contender in the Eastern Conference.

Unfortunately for the Pistons their season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs at the hands of the New York Knicks but it was still a successful season that saw them make the postseason for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign.

Now the Pistons have a crucial offseason ahead of them and one that could see them be extremely aggressive in both free agency and the trade market thanks to their cap space.

With this in mind, Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz recently named his top three dream trade targets for Detroit this summer.

Swartz’s list was headlined by Phoenix Suns’ star Devin Booker and also included Jrue Holiday of the Boston Celtics and Cameron Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets.

Of course, the Pistons’ main area of weakness last season was on the offensive end as they struggled scoring the ball outside of their star point guard Cade Cunningham.

Because of this, adding Booker to the backcourt next to Cunningham would not only help improve their offensive numbers but it could also turn them into a title contender in the East.

While that may be the case, the Suns may not be willing to move on from Booker this offseason which means the Pistons would have to shift their focus elsewhere to upgrade their lineup.

For Holiday, he would give Detroit another elite defender as well as a great scorer, though his fit next to Cunningham in the backcourt is a questionable one.

Johnson may be the best option outside of Booker as he would help improve Detroit’s three-point shooting, especially if they are able to keep Malik Beasley who is an unrestricted free agent this summer.

While all of these players could be great fits in Detroit, the Pistons could look elsewhere to upgrade their roster but expect them to be aggressive due to amount of cap space that they have.
