Another of the WNBA's brightest young stars is going to miss the next couple of games due to an injury. The Dallas Wings announced on Friday that Paige Bueckers, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, is going to miss at least the next two games after she was placed in the league's concussion protocol.
She finished Thursday's game against the Chicago Sky but went into the protocol on Friday.
She will miss Dallas' upcoming games against Chicago and Seattle at a minimum.

Her injury comes just a week after Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Clark was the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and has immediately become one of the league's best players and its biggest draws.
Bueckers is on track to be the league's next rising star and has been one of the few bright spots for a Dallas team that has managed to win just one of its first six games.
Despite the lack of wins, Bueckers has been off to an incredible start to her career, averaging 14.7 points per game, along with 4.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks. She had 15 points and eight assists in Thursday's loss to Chicago.
