The New York Knicks are trying to push past the dreadful season they just had.

After a very promising year in 2020-21, the Knicks fell from grace in a major way and missed the playoffs completely at the end of 2021-22.

The team did some work in the offseason in order to avoid another dismal season by adding Jalen Brunson, previously of the Dallas Mavericks.

Brunson, alongside RJ Barrett and Julius Randle, will be part of the team’s new “big three” lineup.

That big three was spotted together as they prepared to have their picture taken for New York’s media day.

Fans of the team are very hopeful that this is a lineup that will work.

Followers of the Knicks have been waiting a long time and they are tired of their team coming up short.

Making Noise In New York

If the Knicks aren’t able to rebound in a big way in 2022-23 then don’t be surprised if the front office blows everything up and begins to rebuild.

There was speculation that New York would try that in the summer, with some thinking that they could get rid of Randle.

Most people assume that the team is devoted to Barrett and now Brunson but Randle could be the one who gets sent away.

He was Most Improved Player just a couple of seasons ago but his output during the 2021-22 season was severely lacking, leading some to wonder about his future with the Knicks.

Still, it looks like he will get one more chance to show the team what he’s got.

If this big three works wonderfully, it will be the future of the team.

If it doesn’t, it will be broken up by the time the season is done.
