The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned second-year forward MarJon Beauchamp to the Wisconsin Herd of the G-League. Beauchamp immediately suited up when the Herd took on the Birmingham Squadron on Wednesday night. MarJon powered the Herd to a 120-107 win by firing a career-high 36 points on top of five rebounds and three assists.

Reduced playing time

Prior to his assignment to the Herd, Beauchamp has not played for the Bucks in the last two games. His two DNPs came a few days after Jae Crowder returned from a long layoff due to an adductor injury.

Crowder went down with an injury in Milwaukee’s 97-112 loss to the Orlando Magic on November 11t. He returned last January 17th and scored 15 points in the Bucks’ ugly 95-135 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Reliable reserve

The 6-foot-7 forward, Milwaukee’s 24th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, has played 34 games this season with one start. On the season, MarJon is averaging 4.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 15.7 minutes of playing time per game.

In the 34 games that he has played, Beauchamp scored in double figures five times, with his highest scoring output happening on November 3rd when he scored 13 points in Milwaukee’s 110-105 over the New York Knicks.

In his rookie season, Beauchamp played in 52 games and was good for 5.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.1 blocks in 13.5 minutes of playing time per contest.
