Warriors' Stephen Curry's Game 1 availability for playoffs could 'go down to the wire'
Though the Golden State Warriors don't yet know who their first-round playoff matchup will be, they know that they've avoided the dreaded Play-In Tournament. One other uncertainty as of Sunday night is the availability of superstar point guard Stephen Curry for the start of the postseason.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr met with media members prior to the team's regular-season finale against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday and discussed the two-time MVP.
Curry went down with a sprained ligament in his left foot in mid-March and it was reported on April 1 that he would miss the remainder of the regular season slate. Curry was injured during a controversial play against the Boston Celtics when his leg got rolled on by Boston guard Marcus Smart as both players wrestled for a loose ball.
After some initial struggles without the all-time three-point king on the floor — losing six of seven contests — the Dubs have righted the ship of late, winning their last four.
