NBA Play-In Tournament matchups set

Sunday was the final day of the NBA regular season and while most of the postseason qualifiers in both the Eastern and Western Conferences will be able to enjoy the rest of this week without playing in games, there are four teams on each side who now prepare for the Play-In Tournament.

With their win over the Indiana Pacers in the regular-season finale, the Brooklyn Nets wrapped up the No. 7 seed in the Play-In Tournament and will host the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brooklyn won three out of the four head-to-head matchups against Cleveland this season, including a 118-107 home victory on Friday.

Here is the schedule of the rest of the Play-In Tournament contests.

Behind a solid young core of Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D'Angelo Russell, the Timberwolves are looking to make the NBA playoffs for the first time in four years and only the second time since their trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2004. Los Angeles — who recently welcomed back Norman Powell from injury — took three of the four head-to-head meetings with Minnesota this year.

On the strength of sensational point guard LaMelo Ball, the Hornets are vying for their first playoff appearance since 2016. Atlanta captured three out of the four contests against Charlotte during the 2021-2022 campaign.

Thanks in large part to the second-half collapse of the Los Angeles Lakers, both the Pelicans and Spurs earned spots in the Play-In field. San Antonio won three of the four head-to-head tilts against New Orleans in the regular season.
