The Washington Wizards  lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder (on Monday) by a score of 136-128.  

On Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the team is signing Hamidou Diallo to a ten-day contract. 

Via Charania: "The Washington Wizards are signing five-year NBA veteran Hamidou Diallo to a 10-day contract, sources tell  @TheAthletic @Stadium. Diallo spent five seasons with OKC and Detroit. The guard has averaged 18.6 points for Wizards' Capital City Go-Go G League team this season."

Diallo was the 45th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and has spent five seasons in the league with the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Most recently, he played 56 games for the Pistons (last season) and had averages of 9.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 57.3% from the field.

His career averages are 8.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 49.5% from the field and 27.4% from the three-point range in 263 regular season games (he has also appeared in three NBA playoff games with the Thunder). 

As for the Wizards, they are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 6-30 record in their first 36 games. 

They are 2-8 over their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game losing streak. 

Following the Thunder, the Wizards will visit Myles Turner and the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday evening. 

On the road, they are 3-17 in 20 games, while they have gone 3-13 in 16 games at home.
