Zach LaVine had a terrific game on Friday night, dropping 50 points on the Atlanta Hawks, joining Michael Jordan with his magical performance. The Hawks eclipsed Zach’s game since they beat the Bulls, 120-108, but the player still earned a lot of praise for his big performance.

The player recorded his first 50-point game against the Hawks but after the game, he learned that other Chicago Bulls’ big name did not once, not twice, not three, not even 30 times, but more. During the post-game interview, Zach was told that Michael Jordan recorded 38 50-point games during his career and the swingman just couldn’t believe what he heard.

Reporter: “You will need 37 more of these 50-point games to tie Michael Jordan’s record.”

Zach LaVine: “Man, that dude is a ghost. He’s a myth.”

Two months ago, LaVine joined MJ with another record, tying him for the 31st highest PPG in February. The prior 30 belonged to Michael Jordan so this isn’t the first time Zach finds himself in this position.

MJ broke and set new records for the Bulls and it’ll be extremely hard to see someone breaking them in the near future. LaVine is doing a great job with Chicago but he’s still working to lead the squad to the postseason. Michael Jordan took them to six championships in the 90s and the swingman aspires to get close to Michael’s level at some point in his career.

The Bulls recently added Nikola Vucevic to the roster and they could add Bradley Beal in the offseason; that would give him a big chance to take the team to compete in the Eastern Conference.
